After Effects Melted Text Tutorial

Since putting the Nantwich Jazz & Blues video clip on our web site I've had a number of emails asking how I created credits at the end. I replied to them adding a link to Ayato@web where the effect (example 21) is explained. I then got some more emails asking if I could explain what Ayato's descriptions meant as they weren't very explicit.

The link to the following page shows a work through video of my interpretation of the effect. I used a video tutorial because I figured that as the effect only takes several minutes to create it would be quicker than typing. I am not a professional presenter so please bear with me.

To create the clearest image the video image has been kept reasonably large and the After Effects screen was reduced down in size with the minimal of pallets opened. This is not my normal work screen or probably how you are used to seeing After Effects, and it was chosen for clarity. Depending on your monitor size and resolution the video tutorial might not fit on the web page. Scroll down the page, stop the video and click  on the link to open the video in your default media viewer.
